Vetrichelvi was only 17 years old when she joined the terrorist organization called Tamil Tigers. During the many years of civil war in Sri Lanka, she lost an arm and an eye. She became known as a radical movement ideologist and poet. Now she embarks on a journey to find her former comrades-in-arms and write a book about women fighting in Tamil Tigers.
